Lewis Hamilton

The Born Free Foundation, while not actually saying, were referring to the most famous exploiter on the Planet #BJWT. Keep bringing celebrities to your Zoo Eddie, your Mexican butt won’t be kissed, it will be kicked.

‘We are disappointed to see pictures and video of Formula One star Lewis Hamilton stroking a tiger and a jaguar at a facility in Mexico. Mr. Hamilton joins a list of celebrities who have been filmed and photographed interacting with big cats at this facility.”

Chris Draper, Born Free’s spokesman on animal sanctuaries said: “Dangerous big cats are used widely at captive facilities around the world to cater for an unfortunate demand for public interaction and/or photo opportunities which risk human safety and animal welfare. We are concerned that celebrities such as Mr. Hamilton may unwittingly encourage many more people to emulate their actions. This incident shows just how important it is for people to check the facts on animal sanctuaries and rescue centres they might wish to visit or support. Genuine animal sanctuaries do not permit visitor contact with wild animals, and especially not with such dangerous big cats. The Born Free Foundation proudly supports the work of the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS), which accredits responsible animal sanctuaries worldwide based on standards of excellence.”’
